Spotting a glimpse of Kim Kardashian’s shapewear, under her ensembles might be considered to be a wardrobe mal function to some, but for the rest of us it is a glorious victory.
Why? The mother of three looks better than she ever has but even she has insecurities and hang-ups about her body just like we do. The very fact that she is often spotted wearing shapewear under her outfits, even though, we would imagine she has no need to.
Shapewear isn’t all about the body contouring and smoothing effect. It also has to do with boosting our confidence in ourselves. It helps us to know and feel that we look amazing. And nobody knows that better than Kim Kardashian.
The 37-yr old looked fantastic in a canary yellow Versace gown that was tailored to fit her body, which she wore to a dinner hosted by The Business of Fashion. Even though the dress fit her body like a glove, she accidently flashed us a peek of her shapewear when she sat cross-legged with her sisters Kendall, Kylie and mother Kris.
Even with her incredible bod, Kim still feels the need to wear control undies – just like the rest of us.
In the past Kim has declared her not-secret love for body shaping wear by saying that sometimes she wears TWO pairs at the same time.
Stating “They really hold you in and make you feel secure.”
She shares with us her little secret for wearing more than one piece of shapewear at a time. The key is in the second piece that will cover the first pair of shapewear. It should be seamless and should be longer than the first piece, for a streamlined look.
The night before Kim showed us her hold-in-everything pants under her Versace gown, she arrived fashionably late to the Met Gala 2018, looking like a golden Greek goodness.
This year’s theme for the Met Gala was Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination. Even though no shapewear was spotted under her flawless, body-hugging gown, we are positive she had some help to slip into the gold shimmering gown.
Kim Kardashian has faced quite a bit of body shaming in the past, about her curves, for wearing shapewear or even for not wearing it.
Shaming women (especially if by other women) for wearing control wear is body shaming and is disconcerting. Honestly, it is nobody’s business to judge what someone chooses to wear under her clothes. It’s about time we grow up and stop judging others for what they are wearing or not wearing.
Thank you Kim, for showing the world that it is all right to wear shapewear, especially, if it makes us feel more secure and positive about our style.
Kim’s love of shapewear is taking her into new heights by inspiring her to create her own line of intimates and body control wear that doesn’t just contour your body but looks quite sexy at the same time.
We are positive that the queen of shapewear will dominate this industry because she actually uses her own product and understands what women want when it comes to contouring bodywear.
